Thursday, December 3, 2015 - 3rd LRA Tasting Event of the Q4 (Enoteca Barolo - Madrid): Rockets and gunpowder. It is shown reduced. Notes of pastry and yeast. Perhaps lactic sour cream too. Dense and tasty in the mouth. At this stage I would not open any of my bottles.
Cohetes y pólvora. Se muestra reducida. Notas de pastelería y levadura. Quizás también lácticas a nata agria. Denso y sabroso en boca. En esta fase no abriría ninguna de mis botellas.

Complicated to say. I have been drinking this wine regularly in the past and it was excellent in spite it represents a logical evolution of old school Ardanzas. Of course 2001 helped a lot. In my case I've got three bottles and I am going to keep off my hands until 2021 but believe me it is a question of your personal taste.
Cheers!

Hard to say for an extraordinary vintage like this but sooner than later seems to be a good choice. As you knew, a Reserva Especial only happened three times in the LRA history so don't hesitate to lay it down for decades.
Strength will be inside this bottle for a long period anyway.
Cheers!
