Sunday, May 15, 2016 - Was generously given a taste of the 2013 iteration of this wine and thought it a remarkably pure, elegant, even Burgundian Pinot Noir. The 2014 to me is actually quite different--for now anyway. This is endlessly juicy and up front and there is an intense spiciness that reminds me of Cab Franc more than Pinot Noir. There is still that purity there too of course. I was extremely skeptical about this wine but I must say that I am a believer. Absolutely delicious with a slight chill on a warm day.

Not cheap for sure, but I can't recall many similarly-priced Burgs that were this intriguing.
