Sunday, May 15, 2016 - Decanted and poured, this wine gave an excellent showing. The wine benefits from decanting. The aromatics are dark and brooding with enough detail to keep it from leaving a more reserved impression. The color is a tarnished dark ruby. The medium / full bodied palate also leaves a similar impression as the bouquet. The wine gives a full, medium length finish with medium grain tannin adding structure. This wine drinks well now with decanting and leaves the impression it will benefit from additional bottle age.
