Thursday, May 26, 2016 - Lunch with friends at our house - Linda decided we'd start with the Petite Sirah. Wow, were we glad! Dark red, with a lovely round texture. Nose of black berries. A pleasing mouthful of nicely balanced wine. Actually elegant, though delicate foods would probably get drowned out by its richness. I wanted to get more to drink and to cellar for a few years, but, alas, it was gone by the time I looked. Navarro Vineyards is seriously underrated. Not pricey enough? This was $25 through their club and they don't have wide distribution - perhaps by choice?
