Saturday, June 25, 2016 - Probably a reflection of the vintage, but this was pretty forward and what I would consider "big" as far as profile goes. Lots of red current fruit, which I find in more of the modern Baroli out there. Still tons of tannin and it has some fat to it; slightly clumsy with the weight, alcohol and not terribly elegant, which is how I always characterize the Cicala cru. Again, probably vintage...
