Saturday, July 2, 2016 - This wine outperformed my moderately high expectations. More approachable that most Mouton's that I have enjoyed, it benefitted from an hour's decant but was drinking pretty splendidly at that point. The nose is deep and rich and complex, with some telltale Bordeaux notes of pencil but also a very rich sense of fruit. On the palate this is Left Bank goodness, round and long lasting.
