Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - A really nice and currently very well drinking negociant malbec sourced from various Mendoza vineyards. A very reasonable QPR at our acquisition cost. Will benefit from at least a short decant and has enough structure and backbone left for at least 2-3 more years of cellaring but is softening up very nicely - time has been kind to this wine. Dark purple, full bodied, surprisingly soft mouth feel and very well balanced with a lovely lingering aftertaste - at this point of development if blinded most people would think this was a mature bigger bolder cab. Nose dark and intense with dark fruit, cola and mocha and primary flavors consisted of dark fruit, very well balanced oak, blackberry and black cherry with an earthier finish of coffee and leather. Definitely recommend this wine.
