Friday, October 21, 2016 - This is a great barolo year. Start to drink after 30 min decant. A beautiful wine with a complex nose of truffles, wet earth, black fruit, and a touch of mint. Tannins are soft and the acidity advise there is a long way to go. The taste is very good, full of Piedmont flavors, with a long finish. I think this is as good as 1989. Drink now or hold
