Saturday, October 29, 2016 - Disappointing vs. my prior May 2015 notes. Even though it's not in its "closed" phased per the Tablas Creek vintage chart, perhaps my bottles, stored ~65F since Dec. 2014, are. This was fine to drink, balanced, and pure, but fairly simple and with a modest finish. It was decanted for 30-60 minutes and at one point vigorously swirled for a minute to try to wake it up.
With such a light body and modest tannins, I am questioning my prior hope for a wine that will develop, but I haven't given up. I'll give the next bottle 6-12 months...

10/30/2016 9:42:00 AM - Spot on. I could not agree more. This wine has disappointed me based on the 3 bottles I have drank to date and shook my faith a bit in TC. I have resolved not to drink the balance of mine for quite awhile.

7/26/2020 11:04:00 AM - citizen1,
I'd encourage you to try another bottle. I really liked one in Oct. '18 and even though I see I scored last night's bottle the same at '93', I think last night's was qualitatively even better. It's in a nice spot. I hope you have the same positive experience.
