Thursday, November 3, 2016 - This is a stunning red, with a similar character and on par with a top Northern Rhône, despite being made from a different grape. Dark ruby/purple. Fantastic nose with pronounced floral aromas of violets and wild flowers along with spices (black pepper) and mostly dark berries. Almost full-bodied, yet perfectly balanced and elegant with soft tannins, vibrant fruit and bright acidity. Long aftertaste. Drinks nicely already but can age gracefully for another 5 years or more.
