Wednesday, November 16, 2016 - Concur with the previous notes on this dark ruby classically made powerful wine. Even though it is very young and somewhat closed for this Bordeaux inspired wine in this vintage, it still displays remarkably rewarding drink-ability that will only improve for the next thirty years. Wonderfully floral and dark fruit nose that begins to hint at the remarkable complexity and powerful structure. A wide variety of sumptuous and saturated flavors on the palate include dark berries, smoke, graphite, tobacco, and herbs with strong hints of cherry all combine with the rich and smooth tannins and the pleasing acidity to make this a quite interesting and irresistible vintage. Long finish that will last for several minutes hint at the marvelous gifts that age will bring this wine. Agree with many that this is one of the best values in Napa at the moment and likely one of its best wines.
