Friday, January 6, 2017 - Another tasty concoction from the Prisoner Wine company, this is a big fruity Merlot based wine that opens with a big nose of black & dark red fruits shadings of spicy oak, leading to a fat midpalate that acutally tastes of ripe Merlot fruit: plums, cherries and blackberry cassis pie. Medium finish. This reminds somewhat me of a '13 Emmolo Merlot I tasted a couple weeks ago that was a little more over the top.
