2011 Antinori Tignanello

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Saturday, December 17, 2016 - In need of serious rest. This is most likely destined for a bright, balanced future, but for right now, I get some round/fat fruit juxtaposed with angular, grainy tannins. Not pleasant at the moment, not even on day 2. Let this rest for at least five years, and even then, it's likely to need a fair amount of aeration. Grumpy.

Aerated to decanter 5 hours, served non-blind.

1/15/2017 8:16:00 PM - Not pleasant? You must really be picky! I try to wait 10 years before opening my first, and 12-15 for the second, but I have the great opportunity to drink these young at many a business dinners, and they're great. A different dimension, but still great.
