Saturday, April 15, 2017 - Had over 2 days with some considerable improvement from day 1 to day 2. Excellent pairing for a grilled strip steak on day 1 as the acidity and tannins were a very nice equalizer for the fatty cut of steak. Blackberry, black cherry, mocha, spice, and a hint of vanilla on the mid-weight palate. Finish is medium at 30 seconds or so.
Mellows out on Day 2 with everything in the right place and proportions. Could create this with a couple hour decant.
