96 Points

Monday, April 17, 2017 - Still dark with a slight ruby rim. Ripe blackberries, bresaola, juniper, tobacco and a whiff of ethanol on the nose. Exquisite smoky, sweet blackberry with tea notes and a creamy texture, still reminds me of ice cream! Broad, complementary tannin across the palate and beautifully refreshing acidity. Extraordinary balance and a long, long rich finish. Still plush but has a lightness to it compared to a couple of years ago. Stunning. 96

12/14/2020 12:11:00 PM - I agree with you that this LB is a wonderful wine for the underrated millésime 2002. Unfortunately, my 12 bottles are empty now. All of them were famous!
