Tuesday, May 2, 2017 - Salmon pink in the glass. Fresh strawberry aroma. Eminently quaffable, soft and mellow, just enough acidity to balance melon and berry flavors. Crowd pleasing wine by the pool or with cold seafood salad. As I checked out the slick and inviting Apothic webiste, trying to learn what exactly is in this wine, I found that the winemaker does not reveal what grape vareitals are used or where they are from other than from somewhere in the state of California. The wine tastes great, but it sort of isn't really wine...it is a manufactured alcoholic beverage. There is a place for these products and this one is pleasurable to drink...there is nagging question however, about what am I really consuming? An industrial creation or an actual organic product made from plants? So probably I won't choose this again, just as I prefer to avoid industrial food products in favor of actual food.
