Wednesday, June 7, 2017 - Red and black cherry on the nose with a slightly funky forest floor note. More complex and slightly bigger than usual for a nero d'avola. Fruit forward with black cherry and a touch of black plum on the palate. A straight forward fruity approach, with medium acidity and low tannins. The interesting aspect here is the soft, round texture. Mouth-filling for a lighter wine. Drinks like a good Oregon pinot noir on steroids!
