Monday, June 19, 2017 - No comparison to the 2000 tonight. Dense and ponderous fruit is heavy and tired. the older wine is much fresher and easier to drink

    6/21/2017 9:31:00 PM - Beaucastel is a benchmark wine for me. The 1998 first tasted in 2001 was a game changer. Since then I have consumed dozens of bottles from each vintage (98-10). 2007 is different than all other vintages since 98, I don't have much hope for this wine.
