Saturday, September 30, 2017 - Right on PNP this is terrific, with a complex warm and inviting nose of red fruits, leather and baked earth that screams Tuscan sangiovese. Follows through on the palate. Wonderful mouthfeel. Secondary characteristics gain with some air and augment the fruit, which is still very much present. Tannins are soft. This is well into its drinking window and need not be cellared any further. Recently pulled from professional storage, where it has been for many years since original purchase. Just lovely. If you like sangiovese, you will love this wine. It was a big hit with everyone.
