Sunday, October 8, 2017 - Half bottle under screwcap. A bit of air helps this along very nicely. Probably at a peak right now in the smaller bottles but has some time to move. A very good blackwell, weighted perfectly. Alcohol blows off with a rest and gives a pretty powerful drink without being cloying or too rich. Blue and black fruits, vanilla from the oak. Mouth-filling and enjoyable. Acid has settled back a bit from what I remember.

    11/21/2017 2:21:00 PM - Full bottle will be fine for another 5 years. The halves should probably be drunk withing that period. Unless you like your shiraz quite aged, which I certainly don't.
