Friday, November 17, 2017 - Initial nose and palate impression of stone & earth quickly incorporate loganberry, rhubarb, cherry and spice notes. The complexity & balance really stands out in this wine. There is engaging fruit to enjoy now and proper acid to carry it into a promising future.

W.O.T.Y. designation is the very definition of subjectivity but as California Merlot goes, this certainly belongs in the conversation.

11/20/2017 7:34:00 PM - What great impressions. I am looking forward to having such similar experiences. Good for you to post as quickly as you have. I think duckhorn merlots have long been under appreciated. I await my case from duckhorn.
