Monday, December 4, 2017 - no formal notes taken. Ready to drink but could also be kept another couple of years - not too long though. Tropical but restrained. Generous with some RS yet refershing acidity and bitter passion fruit notes. Hard to put down, its that tasty. However, I have a problem with screw caps and won't buy from this winery again as I would prefer to not store my wines with plastic contact (inside of the screw cap). Since purchase I stored the bottle upright. It surprises me how you can be biodynamic and bottle your wines with plastic contact when there is a natural, renewable alternative......

One positive thing about these closures compared to natural corks is consistency! I just cannot stand buying a bottle of great wine and opening it to find it tainted by the cork, or oxidized when it shouldn’t be because the cork did not provide an good enough seal! DIAM technical closures are a nice mid point. Still made from cork, but treated to be taint free and much more consistent!

5/19/2019 5:12:00 AM - I understand the last comment posted about my tasting note and I also hate having a corked wine but I would rather take that chance than not know what sort of reaction the plastic or metal part of the inside of the screwcap is having on my wine, not to mention the potential for toxic ingression. Every time I have had a corked wine I have sent it back to the producer who has replaced the bottle usually with a current vintage every single time. And if you cannot send it to the producer take it back to the shop where you bought it and let them figure it out - they can get a replacement from their supplier just as easy, if not easier. God bless cork and glass, you cannot get more natural than that!!!
