Wednesday, December 13, 2017 - Considering the youth of this remarkable Dom, I expected a light color with no hint of amber and a quick finish. Instead, this champagne, maybe because of the extraordinary vintage, is already darker straw/light amber, and that is indicative of the resulting beautiful, complex flavors, long finish and luscious mouth feel. I can't imagine what an incredible champagne this will be out of 750 ml in 10 years, and out of magnum in 20-25 years. No gunsmoke that is characteristic of well aged Dom (and Krug) but beautiful solid champagne, the best I've had this year. Cheers.
