The nose hits immediately with that eucalyptus/mint note. Plenty of cassis, with a slight liqueur quality. With air, the cassis becomes more pronounced along with some cedar and plums. On the palate, this is still old school Napa in style. Not boisterous but plenty of cassis fruit. Tightly layered, it continued to improve in the glass. Nice balance and food friendly. Not sure if it gets better but probably more bordeaux-like. In any event, a wonderful wine today.
