Thursday, March 29, 2018 - Nose is toasty with lots of toffee, some roasted nuts, and a hint of smoke. Palate still has substantial fruit, a touch of butterscotch, and abundant acidity. Some lingering phenols. Where this lies in its evolution depends on your taste. If you still want significant fruit, this wine is at its peak. If you prefer developed Champagne with more non-fruit flavors, then wait a year or two more.

As a note, this bottle still had a decent amount of bubbles. Bottles that were not as well stored may need to be consumed now.
