Saturday, March 31, 2018 - Digging back into the B&H middle year editions. This '02 is still drinking well. Not officially a Cab due to the 50/50 split with the Fran brother. Not as nuanced as the TK version but still a good pour. The nose is better than was the last time I had a bottle back in 2015 as the Cab Franc take first chair. I bet there are is least 3 years or more of life in this juice. Lots of dark fruit and the turn towards the right bank funk as it rounds the bend of peak maturity. I know a lot of folks think the Alcohol is to high throwing the balance off center but I think the structure holds up surprising well. I dig these B&H wines in the 2001-5 zone. They are officially Good Stuff Maynard.
