Wednesday, April 11, 2018 - Decanted for two hours. This wine and this vintage continues to blossom. It has taken a few years for the 2011's from Washington to put on a little weight and develop. They are drinking beautifully right now. Mineral nose accented by mushroom, soy, and blackberry fruit. Medium-bodied with layers of earth, brambly fruit, dark cherry, and fennel. Keeps getting better. 95pts.

2/11/2019 7:28:00 PM - I just had my first bottle and also wondered how much longer to hold this wine. I think more short term, next year or two. Next time I will do a shorter decant as well (did 3 hours).Cheers.
