Tuesday, July 3, 2018 - Not decanted, consumed over ~1 1/2 hours. Very dark in the glass, brooding. Dark chocolate, blueberries, with some structure and heat coming through more than the fruit. I don't mind the big structure, but it seemed a bit mute. If the fruit would come out to play with air or cellar time, this would be a nicer (albeit still hefty) wine. For my palate last night, it was okay but there wasn't a great deal of joy to be found.
