92 Points

Monday, October 30, 2017 - IMW - Cab / Cab Franc Walk-Around Tasting 2018 (mostly 2014 vintage) (Hyatt, San Francisco): 14.2% alcohol. Black in the glass. Intense, almost reductive blackcurrant. Shades of blackberry and blueberry. Complex. Fresh palate. Bright acid and aggressive but satiny tannins. Dense and nervous at the same time.

Very exciting to taste this after barrel samples last year! It's growing into a fantastic wine.

8/26/2018 8:10:00 PM - Definitely WOTN. Hard to evaluate young. Maybe 92+ is more accurate.

8/28/2018 10:42:00 PM - The Capture Innovant, or the Lang and Reed Cab Franc! In the past it’s been the Spottswoode Lyndenhurst (wasn’t at this tasting) and the $13 Louis Martini Cab.
