Daniel Lail, Rudius, and 2 dozen other $$-$$$ mostly magnificent reds, and felt it held its own enough to buy 2 for myself on comparative QPR. Certainly transport, storage, aging, decanting, glassware, context, etc. matters, and there's always the possibility of it being cooked, corked, closed down, or just bad wine-making. With this site and TRB however, it simply should not happen. The 12 was smooth as silk recently and the 14 getting ready to rock in next 2 - 3 years. Hope you can give it another try with better results.
