Monday, October 22, 2018 - The 2012 Retro Cellars ‘Elevation’ is a fantastic wine from Mike Dunn. This Old-Vine Petite Sirah is grown at 1800–2100 feet on Howell Mountain. It displays a dark, inky color and bursts open with inviting aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, violets, peppery spices and tobacco. On the palate this is full-bodied and concentrated with excellent depth. Lovely underlying acidity keeps it well poised through the long, supple finish. Excellent now and should cellar for years to come.
