Tuesday, October 23, 2018 - The 2013 Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino is a pretty showing which begins with inviting aromatics of red berries, earth, spices, florals and juniper. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a gorgeous mouthfeel and wonderful structure, with silky tannins that grip a firm hold on the finish. This will benefit from another year or two in bottle, but shows plenty of promise for the future.
