Friday, October 26, 2018 - PnP. Had this with room service in a tumbler. Even in this meager setting the charms of this wine shown through. Starting to show brown/orange on the edges (no real rim in a hotel tumbler), nose has bright red fruit with evident crushed dried herbs, pine floor and some slight oak/vanilla. Palate is balanced ever so slightly towards its Cali fruit, but with bright acidity and easy/grainy tannins. Almost elegant, but certainly enjoyable alone or enhancing an almost dreadful meal.
