Wednesday, December 5, 2018 - Overall a very consistent impression from my last TN over 2 years ago, now just 2 years older. Wonderfully mature and drinking superbly but the tannins and acid are all gone thus would recommend drinking up any remaining inventory now - the fruit will start to fade. A very good and very mature limited production Napa Valley cab that remains a very good QPR at our price point. Deep purple with some peripheral bricking, medium - full bodied, soft & balanced, very well integrated, as noted above the tannins are now all gone and a shortening aftertaste. Nose dark and warm with dark cherry, cola and mocha. Primary flavors include subtle oak, cassis, dark cherry and blueberry with a hint of smoke at the end. Still a really beautiful wine, highly recommend this wine although as noted above needs to drink up any remaining holdings - this is on it's last legs at this level. This needs a bit of swirling and air in the glass but no decant needed.
