Friday, January 25, 2019 - La Lagune is back on track to make Haut Medoc wines a force to be reckoned with. This was the most classic and age worthy LL that I have tried in ages. It was so sneaky on entrance, but it fanned out in the mouth with flamboyance, and confidence and just grew and grew and grew. Once this wine settles down, this can grow at last 2 more points and rival the best vintages of LL. I can't remember what the details of the wine were, as I tried it as the last wine of the night on a whim, but it made a huge impression on me after trying lots of classy wines. Will definitely buy to revisit...Chateau LL, an Haut Medoc, and one of the original teachers of Bordeaux to my inexperienced beginner palate has been lost, but now we have reconnected. One to seek and try.

11/13/2021 10:37:00 AM - I think this is a steal....The 2016 wines are just so claret like and classy (not to be confused with classic), but rather elegant. Enjoy!
