2013 Opus One

Community Tasting Note

91 Points

Wednesday, January 30, 2019 - Drank with some big hitters 78 Margaux, 78 Las Cases, 85 Lynch, 96 Margaux, 97 Rayas, first time trying an Opus, not impressed, decanted for 2 hours, dark red, mocha, liquorice, a bit too manufactured, but balanced, powerful, painful young
91+

That Opus vintage is bound for glory, just painfully too young and monolithic at this point. Actually, even a 12' would've been night & day different in enjoyment as the 12' is much more accessible even upon release.
