Saturday, March 2, 2019 - This was simply stunning last night. Right from the get-go in incredible Cdp: wonderful kirsch fruit, full of earthiness, cigar tobacco, garrigue - everything one could hope for in a classic CdP. Vibrant, pure and perfectly balanced. Exceptional and exactly what I want when I open a CdP. Addenda: 1) this was nowhere near being over the hill, and 2)I just read ST's note where he said, "If someone sticks a glass of this in your face and you don't say Chateauneuf du Pape, you should give up wine drinking." - almost exactly what I said last night. This is unmistakably CdP.
