Tuesday, March 19, 2019 - A fragrant bouquet that is sweet (cassis), filled with vanilla, coconut, and cigar box. Faint earthiness coming through as the wine opened up. Clean and inviting.

Medium bodied, dry, tannins are surprisingly gripping for its age. The acidity gives it structure. Modestly concentrated. Lingering aftertaste with ripe fruit where the dry tannins and bitterness of the alcohol eventually take over.

Enjoyable high-quality mature Bordeaux. It can last longer although I am not sure if the tannins will soften further. Elegance over power. It is very good but lacks the balance and the silky tannins to be great.
