Sunday, March 31, 2019 - Prior bottle was nearly a year ago and this wine remains in an excellent spot with my notes virtually unchanged. Red cherry, floral and undergrowth notes on the nose. Medium bodies with red cherry leading the way, followed by a mid-body than shows elegance and depth. Tied into the finish with slight tart red cherry and light cranberry. There's enough acidity-accented brightness here to create a nice contrast with the deeper mid-body fruit. Clearly remains the best of the 2013 Heart & Hands Clone pinots (in order 97, 777, 828, 667, 90 and 4). There's a level of depth, nuance and balance here that you don't often find in FLX pinots. I'll open my next bottle in Q2 2020.
