Wednesday, April 3, 2019 - Medium purplish ruby in color. Aromas of earthy funk, soil, blue and black fruits, violets, vanilla, and chalk or crushed rocks. Light to medium body, medium acid and finish, a bit of alcohol spike (I'm surprised this is only 14.5% according to the label), and flavors of blue and black fruits, notable minerality, and yeah, alcohol, which is a bit detracting here. This worked well with our stacked slow cooker enchiladas, but its flaws are showing through a bit more post meal.
