Friday, April 19, 2019 - Another destroyed cork, dry. Strained twice, lots of sediment. Served from a decanter. Once raisin funk blew off this opened to clear cherry, aniseed, old menthol, bookcase, old piano, strawberry and vanilla ice cream and kiwifruit pip. Palate is slightly reduced and short, of coffee bean, overripe and old blackcurrant and powdery plum. This is old, but still holding itself as the wine it was expected to be when young - which in itself is impressive. At $9? Great QPR and experience.
