Thursday, May 9, 2019 - I love these mountain Nebbiolo wines. 50+ year old vines. This is a “riserva” bottling of Ar.Pe.Pe.’s single vineyard “Rocco Rosse”. Elevage: stainless steel, 2 years in oak wood barrels (50 Hl), at least 6 months in bottle. Chewy and long with tart red wild berry fruits, forest floor and wild flowers. There is an ethereal dimension to this stuff that brings me to pinot. But it is not pinot!
