90 Points

Friday, May 10, 2019 - I never heard of the Finger Lakes until I got into wine and now I'm obsessed with this region.

Red Newt Cellars was founded in 1998 and is located at the Southeast end of Seneca Lake in NY.

On the nose, I got a sense of spring with aromas of peach, apricot and honeysuckle.

On the palate, this crisp and slightly sweet wine has intense flavors of tangerine and apricot with hints citrus. The finish lingers with slight minerality.

The Finger Lakes region is on my bucket list of wine destinations.
