Sunday, June 23, 2019 - A very good Napa Cab, drinking well. Very cab oriented (I always get that green pepper hit which I like), very clean and delineated. Good cassis fruit and nice balanced tannins. It is resolved, but has several years left and may even get better. Drank it against a Pontet Canet 1996. Interesting comparison. The Conn Valley was cleaner and obviously pure Cab. However the old world / new world difference was not pronounced in the pairing. Interesting. The table was split around which they liked more. I had no winner - but I like both the styles - they are just different.
