91 Points

Monday, July 29, 2019 - Needed quite a bit of time to open up.
Medium ruby color. Cherry, red licorice and some toast and berries and floral hints. Full bodied with grippy tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is very long with a bitter/oak twist.
Still a bit young, could improve with at least another 5 years.

This is not my favourite Brunello style, I prefer the more refined classic ones. Still, this is a well made wine that will probably get higher points from people who like more ripe fruit extraction and wood.
