Sunday, September 1, 2019 - Wine is in a terrific place now. Interestingly, the extra time in wood gave the wine a profile that comes across as more traditional than some of Scavino's other Barolo from this period. Beautifully austere yet balanced at the same time, Structure out the wazoo with sweet fruit, lovely tertiary notes, and beautiful aromatics. Terrific at the moment.
