Wednesday, September 4, 2019 - Primary notes of blackberry, with secondary notes of raspberry and cedar - very fruit-forward for a cabernet, particularly one with 10 years of age. Bit of vanilla on the mid-mouth feel; mid-level oak which presents in a pleasant way. Still a good bit of tannin - decanted about 2 hours before trying; can't tell you how the wine did after 5 hours as we gobbled it up pretty quickly. Showing very nicely - excellent Turnbull representation; looking forward to seeing how the '09 does in a few years.
