Saturday, September 14, 2019 - Garnet with orange at rim; rim variation greater than I'd expect at this age. Slow legs. Aromas are red fruit dominant, no sour fruit: strawberry, cherry, a hint of cherry cola. Also noted were subtle hints of dust, cedar and eucalyptus. On the palate, red fruit is prominent and eucalyptus strengthens. Body is light/medium, long finish, linear but polished texture, just below medium acidity. Impression: varietally correct, balanced, and more complex than many Grenache wines I've had in the past. At $22 with tax & shipping, QPR is average. Drink now or as late as 2021. This was a Berserker day deal and thus far we will consider future purchases.
