Thursday, October 24, 2019 - 45 minute decant. SO much black/red fruit (black cherry, blackberry, raspberry) on the palate. Leather, charcoal. Vibrant fruit. Medium-long, savory/saline finish. Love this for the price.

11/14/2019 4:06:00 PM - I’m all for appreciating the journey, just (in my opinion of course) don’t start it too early with a wine that is such a known entity. We have the critics and the professionals to do that for us. My own flight of SM goes back to 2001 and I am waiting for my 17’s and 18’s to arrive. The earliest I would personally approach even a forward SM would be at the five or six year mark. But of course, we can all do whatever we want with our own bottles. It’s all relative however, SM is a short-term animal when you put it up against Musar!
