Thursday, November 14, 2019 - Intact cork and deep ruby red color. Hardly any bricking and some sediments in bottle. Decanted and aerated for an hour than drank over two hours. The first bottle started fading after 2 hours whereas the second one kept going. At the start a very masculine nose of earth, leather with notes of black pepper, graphite and cassis dying to get out. With some time in decanter, the black currants and cassis came out. On the palate less austere after aeration, gentle entry with good weight and acidity mid palate, some crushed rocks mixing with dark fruits and cassis and a decent finish. Well matured St Estephe. Drink and enjoy.
